Review:

Have you heard of the upcoming Green Lantern movie? Well, Green Lantern is a new superhero film based on the comic book character appearing in the very popular DC comics. This film is led by actor Ryan Reynolds who will play the role of Hal Jordan. Apparently, Hal Jordan is the first human ever selected to be a part of the Green Lantern Corps, a brotherhood of warriors whose mission is keep intergalactic orders and protect peace and justice in the universe. This film will be directed by Martin Campbell and scheduled for release on June 17, 2011.

This movie sounds very interesting just like any superhero movies. The story will revolve around how the Green Lantern Corps will protect the universe against various threats and will be highlighted by the existence of a new enemy called the Parallax that threatens to destroy the power and balance of the universe and only one man can help them in their mission and this is a man named Hal Jordan. To give you an idea, Hal Jordan is a test pilot working for the United States Air Force that is destined to be the greatest Green Lantern of all and the ultimate key to defeating the Parallax.

Ryan Reynolds first image in costume was showed off to the public July 16, 2010 in an issue of the Entertainment Weekly. A teaser trailer was also shown at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con and apparently the first full trailer of this film will be available online this November.

Well, it seems that this movie has a very interesting story plot just like any other superhero movies, and with a rumored budget of about $ 150 million, this will be surely be something big and a movie to look forward to. Also in this film are Mark Strong, who will play Hal Jordan’s mentor, Blake Lively who will play Hal Jordan’s love interest, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Jon Tenney and a lot more.

In addition to this movie, there were also some ongoing rumors that a video game with the title Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters is also in the development and will be released along with the film for the Xbox360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. So aside for waiting for the movie itself, you should also watch out for this video game as well.
