Take Madea out of a Madea film, and you have straight-forward melodrama. Minus the super-sized, sharp-tongued incendiary matriarch, played in drag by Tyler Perry, "Madea Goes to Jail" is a decently made weeper, with the familiar cast of characters from Perry's immensely successful stage plays and movies: betrayed spouses, fallen women, men struggling to do right and conniving, social-climbing villains in very fine threads.

But add Madea into the mix, and Perry's dramas take a strange, postmodern twist, mixing genera and tone and leaving reality in uncertain circumstances. In the newest outing, a big-hearted prosecutor (Derek Luke) struggles to save an old friend (Keisha Knight Pulliam) from life on the streets, only to be thwarted by his jealous fiancee (Ion Overman). Madea's perennial struggles with the law grow more serious and she finds herself doing hard time. Unless good wins out in the end . . .

Helen McCarter has everything a woman wants a nice house and rich husband. In a classic homage to Chinese martial arts films, he is involved in intense hand to hand combat including sword fighting, guns, car chases, and other ingenious forms of fighting to mame and kill these Tong members. He deciphers their ancient coded Tong tattoos which leads him to their don, Wong Dai- The Emperor the man who controls an empire of crime and corruption across many borders. As an added twist Robert discovers upon meeting Wong Dai, that the evil man himself has been manipulating our protagonist in order to have him kill Wong Dais own Tong members and thus, secure the ill gotten gains of Wong Dais empire of crime for himself.

Without straying too far from formula or stock characters, “The Escapist” shapes a standard prison-break drama into a metaphysical study of freedom and reparation.
Set in a grim London institution (played to perfection by Kilmainham Jail in Ireland), the movie centers on Frank (Brian Cox), an aging lifer with a perilously drug-addicted daughter. The Angels, Dylan, Natalie, and Alex, are hired to locate a set of titanium rings stolen from the Department of Justice that, when put together in a special machine, will display a list of all individuals in the witness protection program. The film opens with brief clips from the previous installment which the survivors Bozo, Hot Wheels, and Tuffy/Heroine 2 driving off into the sunrise.

As the movie begins, Biker Queen discover the severed arm of Harley Mom from the previous film. Upon discovering the surviving Bartender, she tortures him into telling her who killed Harley Mom. He reveals that it was Bozo and points her to a town where he lives. She knocks Bartender out and takes him with her to the town.

An ex-Navy SEAL, Michael Adams, (Matthew Reese) was captured during a raid to free Japanese prisoners from a North Korean prison camp. He endures the North Koreans torture for three years -- seen only as flashbacks -- then released back into civilian life. A renegade North Korean General wants revenge for the raid on his camp, he follows Adams back to the United States with a plot to manipulate the former soldier into assassinating the leader of the raid, now a United States senator, Mason Chambers (K. Danor Gerald). The General targets Adams estranged wife, Rachel (Jennifer Klekas) has her attacked so a doctor on the North Koreans payroll can insert a bomb into her head. Then Adam is captured, given the assignment and warned he must assassinate the senator within 12 hours or the bomb will detonate.
